Role Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will provide support to Air North and Chieftain Energy's administrative team by performing a variety of tasks mostly related to accounts payable and accounts receivable for each company, including invoicing for both functions, reconciling statements for both functions, reconciling sales and some purchases.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate, timely Air North and Chieftain invoices
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable invoices
  • Process and verify customer payments on accounts
  • Prepare, reconcile, and journal company credit card expenses
  • Organize and process fuel delivery paperwork, enter all into plane fuel invoices
  • Support the management and reconciliation of credit accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Record daily cash transactions and reconcile to bank as support
  • Process and reconcile credit card, electronic, and online funds received to ensure bank account is current and accurate

Must haves:

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' accounting experience, specific to accounts payable and/or receivable preferred
  • Diploma in accounting field or equivalent experience
  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that's through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in a multi-company environment
  • Previous aviation experience
