The Manager for Billing and DevOps is responsible to lead a high-performing team focused on modernizing our Wireless billing systems. This role combines deep technical expertise along with strong leadership skills in the pursuit of innovation and efficiency in our billing systems and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors and a broad set of business stakeholders in support of our modernization objectives.

Supported by the Director, Information Services for Standard Billing, you will mentor and coach a highly engaged team. You will foster and maintain a strong culture of innovation, collaborative teamwork, and perseverance. Your hands-on approach and ability to contribute to deep technical topics will ensure we deliver well-engineered products and services in support of our Billing business partners and customers. You will contribute to new development, operational and functional strategies and outcomes. Together, we will continue to modernize our billing platform and enhance our enterprise systems.

What you bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective engagement with vendor partners, senior leadership, and business collaborators, especially pertaining to technical concepts and processes
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of:
    • Software development with modernized languages and techniques
    • Wireless telecommunications technology including billing processes
    • Software architecture principles
    • Advanced project management skills
    • Software development automation and cloud technology services and concepts
  • A natural curiosity and affinity for self-directed technology learning
  • 8+ years of work experience in technology, technical project management, IT operations, and software development
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and/or relevant experience

Great-to-haves

  • Experience in the billing domain
  • Experience with building and supporting cloud-native (public/private) applications and services

Advanced knowledge of English is required, because you will, most of the time, interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.), interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.), as part of this position's main responsibilities, given its national scope.
