We are looking for a director that will be responsible for BRP's overall tax compliance. You will ensure the compliance of BRP affiliates to all applicable tax laws and manage the compliance team. You will work within a team that fosters the development of personal and professional skills for employees through a balanced approach between remote and in-office work.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Ensuring the compliance of Canadian and American affiliates of the BRP group with tax law, and ensuring that they maximize their scientific research and experimental development claims in compliance with applicable tax laws;
  • Reviewing and approving BRP's consolidated provision for income taxes;
  • Implement the process to ensure BRP's compliance with Canada's Global Minimum Tax Act and corresponding foreign laws ;
  • Overseeing the preparation, revision and approval of BRP's income tax returns;
  • Monitoring the preparation of income tax returns by BRP's foreign subsidiaries;
  • Managing Canadian/American tax audits and supervising the tax audits of BRP's other foreign affiliates;
  • Monitoring amendments to tax legislation; assessing the impacts and communicating the challenges for BRP;
  • Maintaining an appropriate control environment for the management processes under your responsibility;
  • Proceed with the implementation and /or improvement of tax compliance processes.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Recognized professional certification in accounting and a master's degree in taxation or an equivalent degree.
  • Very strong ability to analyze and synthetize.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Excellent English skills (oral and written).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in tax compliance.
  • Good priority management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
