ABOUT US

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Accounts Receivable Agent oversees daily financial transactions and crafts precise sales reports. This role is vital for maintaining the transparency and accuracy of the company's financial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make daily deposits and prepare cash balance report.
  • Reconcile sales and bank refunds.
  • Settle outstanding transactions.
  • Regularly monitor assigned accounts and resolve anomalies.
  • Record cash receipts in accounting.
  • Verify, export and record cargo sales reports in accounting.
  • Invoice and track cash bar payments.
  • Research and collect air waybills.
  • Reconcile commission charges.
  • Complete billing tasks and issue refunds as required.
  • Perform any other related tasks or produce any other reports according to the department's operational needs and objectives.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience (aerospace industry an asset).
  • In-depth knowledge of the collection process and accounts receivable.
  • Flexible and available for overtime if/when required.
  • Result-oriented and strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel-Advanced, Word, Outlook) and ability to adapt easily to various systems (accounting system: GP Dynamics, Microsoft D365).

COMPENSATION

  • Salary and benefits are determined in accordance with company policy.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Location: Air Inuit Head Office, located in Ville St-Laurent.
  • Permanent role, offering stability and growth.
  • Schedule: Enjoy a Monday to Friday workweek, totaling 37.5 hours.
  • Office Presence: Required to be in the office for four days a week, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
