Tasks
As a payroll processing specialist, you will play a key role in managing employee compensation for our clients. Here is an overview of the tasks:
Updating records: new hires, terminations, changes.
Data entry: entering data into payroll systems and managing reports for accounting (GL summary, payroll registers).
Cross-departmental collaboration: working closely with the human resources and accounting teams to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with reports.
Regulatory compliance: constantly monitoring to ensure payroll compliance with applicable laws.
Annual and tax management: handling remittances, tax filings (T4, RL-1), and other obligations.
Perform other related tasks as required.

Job requirements
Professional or college degree in a relevant field with at least 5 years of experience in weekly payroll processing.
Access to a vehicle to travel to client locations.
Intermediate bilingualism, as we have bilingual clients.
Mastery of payroll management software (Dayforce, Nethris, ADP, SAGE, etc.).
Strong proficiency with office tools (Word, Excel, PDF, etc.).
Payroll management certification (an asset).
Knowledge of Quebec and other Canadian provinces' payroll legislation, an asset.
Desired profile
Ability to travel throughout the Greater Montreal area.
Excellent rigor and attention to detail.
Good time management skills.
Professionalism with employees and in client relationships.
