Accounting Technician

Tasks

• Perform bank reconciliations (cheques, deposits, transfers, bank fees).
• Record journal entries.
• Prepare payroll bi-weekly.
• Ensure that invoices are recorded in the current month's period.
• Perform a trial balance to ensure proper posting of entries.
• Prepare GST/QST tax returns.
• Prepare month-end and year-end documents necessary for the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare the adjustment entries for the FPA.
• Record amortizations.
• Calculate accrued expenses and revenues.
• Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in office automation, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of French, both spoken and written.
• Functional knowledge of the English language, due to communication 20% of the time.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of the Genius software (an asset).
