NOW HIRING: Dealership Accountant

LOCATION: Centennial Auto Group, Summerside, PEI.

HOURS: Full time, permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

WAGES: $45,000 - $65,000 salary per year + benefits (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)

APPLICABLE SKILLS:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in an automotive dealership accounting role is an asset.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specially Microsoft Excel), Google Workspace, and dealership accounting is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and time management.
• Work Ethic: Dependable, able to work independently, and collaborates well in a team.

JOB TASKS:

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process transactions, reconcile vendor statements, and manage customer inquiries.
• General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with financial statements.
• Floor Plan & Inventory Accounting: Track vehicle inventory, manage floor plan financing transactions, and reconcile dealership inventory records.
• Manufacturer Reconciliations & Incentives: Process manufacturer rebates, incentives, and warranty claims to ensure accurate reporting.
• Commission Calculations: Assist in processing and verifying sales and service commission structures.
• Tax Compliance: Support sales tax reporting and ensure adherence to financial regulations.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
