Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to the HR department. This is done through the coordination and execution of human resources activities, including HR policies, procedures, and initiatives for the Cavendish Farms group of companies. The successful candidate must be customer focused and be able thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. This role requires a high level of professionalism with a focus on accuracy and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a "can do" attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data integrity and system support for HR systems and act as subject matter expert to the business
  • Responsible for hourly payroll submissions and related functions
  • Assist in scheduling production employees
  • Maintain employee files, HR policies, vacation and leave of absences records
  • Assist with reporting and analytics in relation to workforce metrics
  • Provide exceptional customer service, promoting positive employee relations through day-to-day support and guidance to the business
  • Assist with the attendance management process by running monthly reports and determining disciplinary actions/steps
  • Assist in the onboarding process for hourly employees, including coordinating testing of job applicants and interviews, swipe card and site access
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team as required

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years' experience in an administrative capacity
  • Post-secondary education with a focus in Business Administration, HR or equivalent
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple activities
  • Payroll experience would be an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring data integrity and delivering high quality work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite is required
