Role Purpose

DP World Canada's Logistics team is growing, and we are looking for a skilled and collaborative Priciing Analyst to support our high-performing sales team. In this role you will execute multiple daily quotations spanning 183 countries with all services being offered by DP World Logistics Canada Inc.

What You'll Do

  • Execute Ocean, Air, & Ground Freight Pricing (Import/Export, FCL, LCL, Air Cargo including intermodal ground moves).
  • Manage, complete, and respond to RFPs / Network Pricing in accordance with assigned due dates or service level agreements for new and existing customers in a specific mode, product, or trade lane.
  • Work with all departments to maintain pricing sheets on main lanes for ocean freight for quick turnaround of quotes.
  • Adjust quoting parameters in conjunction with commercial leaders to reach effective closing ratio.
  • Monitor and maintain quotation KPI, record-keeping, and quote follow-up.
  • Steering client ocean volumes to preferred carriers based on stipulated policies.
  • Act as link between Sales / Account Managers, Operations, supporting the pricing strategy of specific trade lanes (power lanes).
  • Monitor and report back to leadership monthly progress towards assigned goals and KPIs.
  • Assess data from a variety of sources and use it to derive insights while generating pricing strategies and future trends.
  • Support execution of Global, Regional and National trade lane strategies.
  • Make strategic recommendations to leadership to strengthen network optimization.
  • Develop relationships with existing suppliers while assisting the implementation of new suppliers who can meet our client's needs more effectively and efficiently.

What You Bring

  • 5 years' minimum international sea freight FCL and LCL operation, export and import expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or similar, preferred.
  • P&L management competency.
  • Prior experience on pricing of multi-lane, multi-national RFQs.
  • Understanding of pricing norms and differences in all Canadian trade lanes.
  • Ability to quote to customers and guide sales, account managers, overseas offices, and agents.
  • Knowledge of market pricing levels for sea / air freight for Canada import/export.
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods, hazmat certified a plus.
  • Knowledge of various container space, weight and size limitations.
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations pertaining to import, export sea freight shipments.
  • Knowledge of Canadian & US drayage, trucking and intermodal pricing.
  • Must be fluent in English, French language capabilities will be considered an asset.
