What is the Opportunity?

As Manager, Small Business Credit Strategy, your responsibility is to monitor and improve the overall credit quality of the small business portfolio. You will balance business growth with risk appetite, and develop credit strategies that govern Small Business lending products. Using advanced analytics, you will optimize these strategies with respect to risk, reward, operational efficiency, and customer impact.

What will you do?

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Small Business Credit Strategy, you will design and monitor credit strategies that automates adjudication and exposure management decisions for small business lending products

  • You will build and maintain dashboards in Tableau that monitor the performance and health of the portfolio

  • You will collaborate with teams across the company (Risk Management, Product teams, Tech and Collections) to identify credit risks and financial opportunities

  • You will develop deep knowledge in Small Business Financing products and build profitability models using statistical analysis

  • You will present the outcomes and recommendations of your work to stakeholders and drive the approval and implementation of your credit strategies

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 2 years of experience performing advanced analytics or data science, ideally for credit lending or deposit products

  • Solid technical knowledge of data manipulation and querying tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, etc.

  • Proficient with data visualization tool such as Tableau

  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to environment

  • Analytical mindset and problem solving skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field of study

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in financial services industry

  • Broad understanding of risk management, credit strategy, and analytics

  • Ability to create and articulate a business case to senior management and other stakeholders
