Please note the timings for this role are Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review accounts for accuracy prior to posting them in the finance system.
  • Make adjustments to time entries and phase/task/activity codes.
  • Process all write-offs.
  • Prepare e-bill payables to clients' preferred e-bill portal and upload accounts.
  • Analyze and correct e-bill rejections across the firm.
  • Work closely with the Billing Rate Analyst to assist with billing rate uploads across the firm.
  • Assist Billing Rates Administrator with rate changes and uploads as needed.
  • Update and maintain the WIP Target Report spreadsheet when required.
  • Engage in verbal and written communications with e-bill vendors, lawyers, legal administrative assistants, and other users.
  • Provide additional support to the department or firm as required.
  • Prepare Bills Rendered Reports, WIP Reports, or other billing reports as requested.

Job Specifications:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior electronic billing experience at a Law Firm or Professional Services Organization is a plus.
  • Previous billing and/or e-billing experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency in CMS or Elite is an advantage.
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative thinking, a positive attitude, and the ability to quickly learn new functions.
  • Ability to document processes and procedures.
