Job Summary
Tax Team specializes in supporting Estate & Trust Services to Relationship Managers, RBC partners, and external clients by providing efficient, accurate, and quality client service related to tax return preparation. Key client service elements include T1 and T3 tax return preparation and tax knowledge and support related to account administration.
Job Description
What will you do?
Trained to prepare and file various types of T3 trust tax returns, T1 personal income tax returns
- Assist Tax officers with duties as assigned
- Assist in tax research and financial information gathering required to finalize tax returns
- Understands and follows the established processes, policies, and procedures for tax preparation and other accounts, ensuring efficient, effective, and seamless administration and quality client service is achieved
- Team play is a critical skill in this role as success is dependent on working in cooperation with others
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Proficient in Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written/verbal/electronic communication skills
- Time management skills
- Teamwork, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
Nice-to-have
- Tax software skills (Tax prep would be an asset)
- Exposure to tax and accounting
Please note:
In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either:
- Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
- If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
