What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team for a one-year term as a Group Annuity, Pension Administrator. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within our database system, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the data entry processes within our Group Annuity line of business.
What will you do?
•Work within a dynamic environment where you are encouraged to aid in process improvement and work with autonomy
•Maintain and develop internal relationships
•Enter and update data into our database system with precision and attention to detail
•Verify and correct data discrepancies to maintain data integrity; recommend solutions for resolving problems
•Assist in organizing and maintaining electronic files
•Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance data entry efficiency and accuracy
What will you need to succeed?
Must-have:
•Minimum 2 years of benefits and retirement experience and expertise in process, policies, and procedures as it pertains to Defined Benefit Pensions or Group Annuities and Payroll Accounting
•Ability to multitask competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while being detail-oriented in execution of routine / complex processes and works well under pressure
•Proactive focus on continuous improvement and looking for creative solutions or process improvements daily
•Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills
•Strong communication skills - written and oral with a proven track record of providing excellent customer service
•Strong mathematical skills and/or accounting practices in addition to having strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel
Nice to Have:
•Pension Plan Administration Certificate or RPA (PPAC or CEBS)
•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, professional HR, and/or benefits or College Diploma or Degree in Payroll or Accounting , or Canadian Payroll designation (PCP), post-secondary diploma in Business or Finance Administration
•Knowledge of pension plans/Group Annuities including regulatory requirements
•Bilingualism is an asset
