Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Treasury, the Treasury Analyst is primarily responsible for preparing and presenting the global cash report for all business units and administering bank-related activities. This includes tasks such as bank account maintenance, EFT validations, cheque deposits, cash forecasting, bank reconciliation, administering authorizations and signatories, bank coordination, stationery orders, and other activities as assigned.

This position will be based at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario, with flexibility for in-office work as part of our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  • Perform accurate bank reconciliations for 20+ accounts to ensure timely reporting and compliance
  • Prepare entries for posting related to reconciliations, write-offs, and adjustments in Workday
  • Liaise with banking institutions to address daily operational needs and queries
  • Enable effective communication with various departments to support financial operations
  • Assist in the EFT validation process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with treasury policies, including authorizations and controls
  • Back-up other Treasury Analysts and assist in problem-solving related to daily operations
  • Update policies and procedures as needed to ensure current processes are documented appropriately

Qualifications and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field is required
  • Bank account reconciliation experience in a large complex organization is required
  • 1-3 years' experience in a treasury or finance function within a large organization
  • Proactive 'go-getter' attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, computer and analytical skills; intermediate working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with large-scale Enterprise Reporting systems, knowledge of Workday is an asset
