The incumbent works within the Sales and Marketing department as a member of the Financial Control team supporting the Division in all financial related activities. The incumbent acts as a liaison between the "Business" and "Finance" as well as between the "Executive" and "Divisional Management" (Brand Leads - AVP's, Dept Managers). The incumbent will prepare reports, reconciliations, analysis, and provide financial management support to various internal and external affiliates to ensure all budgets and objectives are aligned.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare budgets & Monthly Financial Reporting including but not limited to : Sales Gross Profit Budget & Expense budgets, monthly working files (updated with Actuals), variance analysis and(P&L) Profit and Loss Statement;
  • Executive management and decision making support, participating in Monthly program meetings, budget review meetings, and risks & opportunities document;
  • Prepare simulations & analysis for various levels of management;
  • Preparation of monthly executive summaries, such as financial review summaries and executive presentations;
  • Provide assigned departments/groups with professional financial management support, such as Monthly expense variance analysis (Opex), identifying trends/analysis in financial performing and providing recommendations for improvement, and creating/Improving business processes and reports;
  • Supporting business projects - any departmental initiatives that have financial implications requiring FC involvement to ensure accurate costing and reporting;
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervising management.


Qualifications:

  • College and/or University education; accounting degree preferred;
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) required or actively pursuing;
  • 5 years of working experience; preference for experience in accounting or financial role;
  • Professional financial expertise, ethics and judgment;
  • Solid foundation in Excel & MS Office is required; SAP experience is an asset;
  • Strong communication, organization & presentation skills to simplify complex work;
  • High level of interpersonal & teamwork skill to foster productive relationships with customers;
  • Proven standard of initiative, accuracy and work ethic to achieve difficult deliverables;
  • Detailed oriented and highly organized;
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team;
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal departments and affiliated subsidiaries
  • Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
