About the role:

The Pricebook Database Administrator (PBA) is responsible for overall database management at over 240 agency locations. The PBA ensures that products and related costs, margins, and retail prices are accurately set-up and works to eliminate and resolve system and retail issues.

 Key activities:

  • Accurate product set-up, price changes and in-store promotions, authorizations, and de-authorizations of vendors.
  • Maintain all product UPC, cost, retail, traits, and attributes submitted by the Convenience Retail team.
  • Ensure data integrity, including business controls.
  • Work with the Convenience Retail team, Retail Support team, vendors & third-party IT vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Interact daily with third party vendors, members of Convenience Retail, Finance and Operations teams on topics, including the following:
    • Pricebook management, merchandising, controls, finance, and data integrity.
    • Monitor the pricebook mailbox, investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Provide accurate reporting to focus on business growth and margin maximization.
    • Offer training, operational, and technical guidance to team members.
  • Opportunity to improve business processes, including:
    • Identify and work independently to resolve systemic issues impacting either specific locations or the network more broadly.
    • Recommend changes in procedures and resources for business improvement and implement upon approval.

Skills/attributes required:

  • 3-5 years related experience working knowledge of PDI or other Enterprise Price Book preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of pricing and inventory required.
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting or Merchandising.

Skills/attributes desired:

  • French language is an asset.
