Your Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for tracking and processing feed orders and the grain bank for incoming ingredients. This position will provide administrative support to various departments.
You will impact the efficient operation of our office environment with your teamwork and organizational skills and can expand your knowledge by contributing to our Feed Assure and Health & Safety programs.
Day to Day
Process and enter incoming invoices, ensuring proper approvals, analyzing for accurate account coding, and recording transactions.
Monitor and manage vendor invoices, including follow-up on account inquiries and discrepancies.
Handle various recurring payables and prepare related journal entries.
Provide backup support for accounts payable functions, including matching, preparation, verification, and approval for payments; maintain bulk and warehouse ingredient tracking sheets.
Perform daily fuel reconciliation for company trucks.
Verify drivers' destination sheets for accuracy.
Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Reconcile vendor accounts by reviewing monthly statements and transaction records.
Investigate and resolve issues related to purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Completed post-secondary education in Agribusiness, Finance, Accounting, Administration or equivalent experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Agricultural background is preferable.
Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivables.
