The Canada EDSE Payroll, Time & Attendance Analyst will be responsible for the administrations of Time and Attendance and provide support for the payroll and benefit processes. This role is suitable for an HR professional who is interested in payroll (including Time and Attendance) and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is analytical, has a process improvement mindset and flexible.

The main responsibility includes the administration of the Time and Attendance processes; including projects and performing monthly regression tests, data analysis, benefits reconciliation, and support the payroll and benefit administration processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process inputs/data validation for regular and off cycle payroll.
  • Process Time & Attendance exemptions and corrections as needed.
  • Follow up with employees and managers on time entries and ensure timeliness for payroll processing.
  • Produce reports related to Payroll and Time & Attendance.
  • Perform data validation between HRIS and payroll system.
  • Attend employee inquiries related to Payroll and Time and Attendance.
  • Support Year end processes including issuance of statutory statements
  • Process ROEs and submit to Service Canada as needed.
  • Perform reconciliation of benefits invoices and payroll deductions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting team on General Ledger, balancing and reporting.
  • Perform monthly and or quarterly testing in the Time and Attendance system
  • Year End/ new year Time & Attendance process, including validation all leave entitlements to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with project and technology teams to implement legislative and policy changes that impact Time and Attendance.
  • Calculate the annual vacation payout for eligible employees

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Experienced in the execution of Payroll Process and Time & Attendance processes.
  • Strong analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Highly organized, able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced-environment.
  • Outstanding work ethic with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal relationship and team worker.
  • Able to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive payroll/payroll accounting/benefits, experience with medium sized organization
  • Previous experience in payroll on SAP Payroll/ADP GlobalView applications
