**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and providing accurate financial reports to support our business operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to financial management, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with Canadian taxation laws.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and insights.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Provide support during audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee benefits.
- Develop and implement financial management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with management to assess financial risks and opportunities.
  
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation (or working towards it) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a consulting or service-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
