We are currently seeking a Billing Specialist to support our Halifax Office.
Summary of responsibilities
Oversees pre-billing process for a practice group or team, including the posting of monthly pre-bills based on WIP reports, and ad-hoc requests related to billing;
Works directly with clients to distribute bills and acts as the main point of contact for any billing inquiries or concerns;
Ensures all contact information is up to date for clients;
Monitors client accounts and A/R reports for any outstanding balances and follows up with clients as required;
Monitors client accounts for inconsistencies and irregularities;
Liaises with accounting department as the primary contact for billing related matters; and
Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
At least 1 year of related administrative experience, preferably in a law firm or healthcare setting;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Excellent communication skills to deal with clients and explain financial matters;
Above-average organizational skills to be able to locate files speedily;
Attention to detail to maintain accuracy of bills; and
