Application Specialist (ERP) - Finance & Payroll

We have a full-time opportunity for a curious, highly self-motivated individual with an aptitude for systems, technology, and process improvement in the role of Application Specialist (ERP) to work in our organization's largest ERP ecosystem.
As an Application Specialist you will work with our Finance & Payroll teams across the organization to solve problems, implement new solutions and work on large projects within our Oracle JD Edwards ERP ecosystem. Providing specialized technical knowledge of our JD Edwards application to support and ensure smooth implementation and operation of new solutions.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the enhancement and configuration of software applications within JD Edwards finance & payroll modules, ensuring that they are integrated into the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for users experiencing issues with the applications, including diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Building relationships and communicating with the businesses to meet their specific requirements, including configuration, design and testing.
- Creating and maintaining functional design documentation for applications usage.
- Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders, identify risks, and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Degree or College Diploma
- 3 to 5 years of professional work experience
- Prior experience processing/supporting Finance and Payroll processes
- Knowledge and experience in JD Edwards applications is an asset
- Curious & independent critical thinker with a passion for problem solving

- Strong verbal, presentation, & written communication skills
