ACCOUNTING CLERK II (BAND LEVEL 4)

Administration and Finance

Marine Institute

(Contractual position to March 31, 2028)

DUTIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for the performance of general accounting at the Marine Institute. Duties include reviewing and verifying travel claims for policy compliance; processing travel claims through accounts payable; processing travel advances; preparing travel and general account reconciliations; backup to accounts payable; assist with accounts receivables and collections; preparing & entering journal entries;
and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) working in an accounting environment; graduation from a three-year program in business administration specializing in accounting; an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered: This position requires an individual who possesses strong organizational skills. Knowledge of computers and proficiency in data entry is required. Knowledge of Banner Finance System would be an asset.

SALARY $48,818 to $57,267 per annum (NAPE Local 7850)
