As a Commercial Collector with Irving Oil, you will identify and manage credit risk for commercial accounts within a specific portfolio. Your goal will be to balance both inbound and outbound contacts with commercial customers and work with them to manage repayment plans and accept and process payments. Preparing accounts for placement with third party collection and sending daily notifications to customers as appropriate are all part of this role's responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of a variety of Commercial and Government accounts
Notify customers of account delinquency, primarily by phone and email as secondary
Manage customer repayment plans and accept/process payments
Prepare accounts for placement with 3rd party collections - legal or agency
Identify and manage risk within collection portfolio
Prioritize calls and emails based on objective criteria
Participate in projects and/or team initiatives as required
Support Credit Approval calls for new residential customer accounts by reviewing Trans Union credit reports
Account Maintenance (as required)

Your Experience:
3+ years of experience with collections
Previous commercial accounts experience or coursework in Business, Accounting, or Finance, are assets
Competent in MS Office applications: Word and Excel especially
