The Accounting Manager will provide accurate and timely reporting for internal and external users of financial information for the Cavendish Group of Companies by maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of accounting staff, working with them in achieving targets and developing their skills, while demonstrating initiative and serving as an integral senior member of the Finance Team. In addition the successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a "can do" attitude, and will thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and detail.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring accurate and timely weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting for the Cavendish Group of Companies by maintaining the integrity of the financial reporting system and also ensuring that we have consistent reporting across all operations.
  • Oversee the Accounting team and ensure their development continues in a manner that will allow them to grow within the company - identifying and discussing strengths, obstacles, and issues, and providing tasks to fuel development.
  • Responsible for corporate financial reporting for multiple internal and external users in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaison with our internal and external auditors, Corporate Finance groups and various Cavendish departments as required for Cavendish Group of companies.
  • Ensure annual balance sheet budgets and monthly balance sheet forecasts are completed timely and accurately and also responsible for various sections of the annual P&L budget.

Qualifications

  • Educations Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
    • Accounting designation (CPA)
  • Years of Experience Required: 8-10+ years relevant work experience
  • IT Skills (JD Edwards, Advanced MS Office)
  • Drive and motivation to continually ensure integrity and improve financial reporting
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and manage multiple activities
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills and work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, while delivering timely and accurate financial results
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
