We are:
Client & Project: We are seeking for a new talent to join the Finance team where you will have the opportunity to collaborate in the project 'Project Jets'. The client is LOBLAW (WITTINGTON INVESTMENTS), a company specializing in retail and investments.
WORK YOU'LL DO
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Active involvement with period end close activities including JE preparations, reconciliations & in- depth analysis.
Regular communications and resolution of Franchise store on financial inquiries
Take a lead role in ensuring that department objectives and initiatives are completed.
Continuously monitor, recommend, and implement process improvement initiatives to increases effectiveness and productivity of department
Ensure all tasks within the functional area are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Review and reconciling general ledger and preparing adjustment, as required
Prepare and upload journal entries
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
A Post Secondary education is required
A minimum of 2 years of Accounting and Payroll experience is required.
Strong English and French communication, both oral and written.
Bonus Points:
Currently enrolled in an accounting designation program would be considered an asset
Experience working in a fast paced environment, particularly corporate and or retail will be considered an asset
Familiar with SAP system is preferred
Ability to converse comfortably with business partners
Intermediate experience with spreadsheet applications, word documents and email (office suite)

Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
