Role and Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, GST and other direct or indirect taxes.
  • Evaluating the tax implications of Group's activities and developing strategies to minimize tax obligations
  • Advising on future tax changes
  • Managing and directing relationships with key service providers
  • Assisting with any tax compliance audits
  • Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to ensure our tax strategies and policies are implemented
  • Identifying, tracking and reporting any potential financial risks or issues and working closely with the accounting teams to implement appropriate solutions.
  • Leading tax due diligence of any prospective acquisition targets
  • Assisting in corporate organization matters as needed on an ad hoc basis
  • Assisting in current and deferred tax provisioning for financial reporting
  • Keeping up to date with ever-changing tax laws and ensuring Group compliance
  • Developing and implementing best practices for tax processes and procedures
  • Preparing and presenting to the Executive leadership and senior management and board
