JOB OVERVIEW

The Accounts Payable Clerk completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices
• Verifying invoice details to purchase orders or other supporting files/documents(ie NAV Canada reports/Landings reports/Fuel logs etc.)
• Research discrepancies
• Coding invoices to appropriate expense or capital account

• Reconcile and post invoices for payment
• Reconcile payment listing before issuing cheques or Electronic Funds Transfer
• Clearing cheques and payments for month end.
• Prepare accounts for wire transfer of funds
• Coordination of credit card reconciliation
• Filing, scanning, and sorting as required

Other

• Prepare and reconcile employee travel advances and expenses
• Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Post-Secondary education complimented by one year of proven Accounting experience and/or related work experience
• Solid understanding of PST and GST regulation

• Proficient in Excel and Adobe
• Detail oriented and focus on accuracy
• Team Player
• Flexible and adaptable
• Good organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills

SALARY

The wage band is KF level 4, $44,968-$56,210 annually. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
