The opportunity

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor is responsible for staff management including overseeing, monitoring and coordinating AR team tasks/activities. The AR Supervisor will oversee a group of approximately 10-14 ARCs. The Supervisor role functions as an AR subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact on escalations and critical AR, to provide guidance and drive direction and consistency, collaboration and overall process improvements. The position also requires a positive attitude, strong teaming skills, ability to be flexible when assessing situations to ensure best outcomes, as well as willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the business

Your key responsibilities

  • Recruits, hires, and drives the onboarding/trainings for a team of professionals who deliver exceptional customer service and work together to achieve agreed upon targets and goals
  • Oversees the team's effectiveness by reviewing AR reporting and following up with team to ensure alignment to the ARC Team Vision of "Mastering the Fundamentals", driving Responsiveness-Accountability-Consistency-Follow Through Reviews team portfolio for equity and ensure the balance of employee workloads. Provides guidance on prioritization of critical AR
  • Holds one-on-one coaching sessions and develop resources, building skills over time through training and development programs, as well as project assignments
  • Continuous review of all AR processes to ensure efficiency and consistency across all business units. Recommends and drives process improvement initiative and implementation Performs weekly analysis to identify material AR, On Account open items to minimize exposure
  • Assists in the analysis and preparation of critical AR and Region focused account collection support
  • Proficiently conducts account analysis in both open and closed payment history with the ability to identify root causes on more complex cash applications
  • Manages employee performance by having meaningful and consistent coaching discussions and completing performance evaluations
  • Organizes and leads core team conference calls on a monthly basis to facilitate effective communication, teaming, and achievement of goals
  • Team with Sr ARC to manage escalations and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provides guidance to team on preparing accurate and complex AR reconciliation spreadsheets as required
  • Manage review account assignments to establish client/account portfolio Understand and facilitate complex client payment processes to apply/resolve application issues in a timely manner
  • Solicits and appropriately responds to feedback from key stakeholders (MFSL, DFs, CSPs, ) to ensure high quality and customer satisfaction
  • While travel is generally not required on a regular basis certain circumstances may require attending a training session or attend a client meeting in a different location.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Approximately 5 years as supervisor or team lead with additional financial management experience beneficial.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or business administration or equivalent years of relevant experience.
